Hi guys
We’ve had a busy week as the kids are back to school now and everyone is back to normality 🙂
Monday at the chase we spent a good session going back to basics with the peewees working on basic stances, kicks and punches. We did a session on some basic blocks and counters and finished the class working on the bags.
The junior senior class we worked in pairs working on some set kick punch combinations and working on some blocking and counter techniques. We did an intensive session on the bags working around the bags working on movement and executing good techniques. We finished the class working on some pinan and worked on a few senior katas.
Tuesday was a busy class Nick took the mixed grades and seniors and worked a good session on the bags working on some set combination techniques. He worked in pairs working on some basic and combination techniques and finished the class working on some pinan and senior katas. I took the red and yellow belts and worked a short session on the bags then I worked on some traditional stances and techniques and finished working through pinan nidan.
I have completed Jeremy’s 8th kyu grading he also had to prove himself by sparring for a minute showing he can defend himself using his blocks and counter techniques. He will find out if he has passed his grading next week so good luck jez.
Thursday was a busy class too we split the class up, I took a new junior and worked him on some basic punches and kicks we also did a session on the bags. Dave P took the senior grades and worked on some traditional stances and techniques and finished working them on some senior kata. Nick took the rest of the class and did some pairs work working on basic blocks and counters he finished his class working on pinan nidan and he also started to teach the juniors pinan nidan which was challenging for them but I think they enjoyed it.
The senior class we worked a good session on the bags working on some set pieces working around the bag, we did some work in pairs working on some attacking and counter block punch combinations working on movement and reaction speeds.

I’ve been working on Jacks 8th kyu grading on Tuesday and he passed with good grades:
