Hi guys

We had our usual manic Monday at the chase
We split the peewees up into groups and worked on some basic kicks and some bag work then we worked in teams working on running and hitting the punch bags and working on speed and working as a team which they all enjoyed!
For the junior senior class we split up into groups I took the junior grades and worked on basic kicks and punches and did a session on the bags working on set techniques. Dave A worked the higher junior grades on some traditional techniques and worked on their pinan katas.
Dave P took a senior purple belt grading and Dave A worked the seniors on some pairs work and bagwork and finished working on kata.
Tuesday we split up into pairs and worked a session on the bags working on set techniques then we split up into groups. I took Jeremy and worked on his 9th kyu grading and his first kata which is coming along well. Dave took the rest of the class and worked on team kata where he split up into groups and each group had a select kata to work on together in unison, it was a good exercise working as a team and trying to move together and hit the techniques together.
Thursday was quietish Nick took the junior grades and worked on some basic punches and kicks then worked on some bagwork working on set techniques and finished off working on pinan katas. I took an existing junior student working through some basic kicks and punches see what he remembered, he done well and picked up the techniques well. Dave P worked with the junior brown belts and worked on some traditional stances and senior kata. For the senior class we worked on some basics and combinations and finished working on some senior kata.
Gradings:
Well done to Katy and Mia for achieving their 1st kyu brown/black belts after months of intensive training.
Well done to all the students who train on a Monday night that have achieved their next grade, I’m afraid I don’t have names to hand but I’m sure we will get names and photos on our website asap.

That’s it from me, have a good one. Bye for now.

Pete
