Hi guys
We had a busy week. Monday at the chase we had a busy pee wee class we split up the class and worked on basic kicks and punches, blocks and counter punches and bag work we mainly worked on grading syllabus work, there is a lot of improvement in most students there are a few still struggling with basic commands and putting the techniques into practice but in time they will improve, keep working at it guys! For the junior/senior class we worked on pairs work on set techniques, blocks and counters we did a session on the bags and some sparring work and finished working through our katas. We had some grading results for some of the seniors I believe all that graded have passed so well done to you all, I’m awaiting names and grades so i can put it on here!
Tuesday session was busy we split the class up Nick worked with the junior grades working on basic techniques and bag work while I took the senior grades and worked most of the session working on senior katas the katas looked good but some work needed on stances, I finished off working a couple of sessions on the bags. Dave P worked through grading syllabus work with the green belts, they worked hard and the kata work shown improvement so well done to you guys, we are hoping to grade the green belts around Easter time so keep working hard guys!
Thursday session nick took some gradings for the red and yellow belts so hopefully they have worked hard enough to achieve their next grade, good luck guys. I took Katy and worked on pinan katas and kushanku, kushanku is looking good a few bits to improve but otherwise very good, the pinan katas were a bit rusty but with work they improved. I worked on the first few khions which she coped with well and is confident with the techniques, again a few bits need working at. Dave p took Jordan through his paces working through his grading so hopefully he has worked hard enough and achieved his next grade. Norbu worked with Jordan on some pairs work and bag work also he worked on sparring! Norbu took his first grading last week and has passed with good grades so well done Norbu!
For the senior class we worked together on set techniques and finished working on Kata.
